Green Space Alliance wins The Institute of Horticulture (AIH) Award

The Tree Guild WA is proudly a founding partner with Green Space Alliance.
In this regard we are very excited to announce that The Australian Institute of Horticulture (AIH ) celebrated its 57th Annual Awards
In Hawkesbury Valley (Sydney ) on Saturday 28 October. Every year the Institute seeks out and awards those
in the profession who have led, inspired, educated and promoted horticulture in all its forms.
This year The clever ‘green alliance’ formed in Western Australia between a number of like organisations to gather
a single powerful case to take to government for the insistence of the greening of Perth was acknowledged for its innovation
and collaboration as a possible model for other similar projects throughout Australia.
National President Wayne Van Balen MAIH said, ‘This was an exceptional year of very high-quality candidates from across the entire nation’.
He said that AIH had added the new Green Space Award for Urban and Rural Projects (sponsored by Western Sydney (University) to impress
the need and high priority of green space on the horticulture agenda’.
A hearty congratulations to the Green Space Alliance and all the partners involved and…
Thank you to Neville Passmore and Glenice Batchelor for accepted the awards on GSA behalf.
Thank you Neville Passmore for completing the paperwork and submission on behalf of GSA.
GSA always get to the end goal with team work amongst very capable representatives and their contacts. That is the beauty of GSA network, in that we are all busy but able to help with something but know that we are not obligated to help with everything, because each of us pitch in where possible with our respective core skills and take a breather other times while others do their bit. As they say, many hands make lighter work, and many heads are better than one.
