Kanyana Wildlife is a not-for-profit organisation committed to the protection and welfare of native wildlife. Kanyana works across a number of areas.
The rehabilitation hospital treats over 2000 sick, injured, orphaned and displaced native animals each year. Animals are found by members of the public, wildlife carers, councils and mine sites all over WA. Over 250 trained volunteers work a minimum of one four-hour shift each week, providing medical treatment, suitable food and staged rehabilitation, until animals are able to be released back into their native habitat.
